In recent times so many brands are looking to up the competition in the market to the consumer's delight. What better way to promote your product or service than using a famous face such as soccer players? We have seen so many PSL players endorsing brands such as Vaseline, Shield, nedbank, Brothers for Life just to mention a few. These brands obviously take soccer players who are more "famous" or rather good at what they do but I could be wrong. Players like Andile Jali, Itumeleng Khune, Teko Modise and Siphiwe Tshabalala to mention just a few.

Do you think it shifts their focus from football? Many of this footballers think they have arrived when they get such endorsements and tend to turn away from the game itself. Taking into consideration that what brought them close to the brands was the soccer in the 1st place. One can argue that they deserve these big brands making them ambassadors since they sweated to get where they are.
